According to Bloomberg, sources familiar with affairs at Sony have indicated that the company has cut PS5 unit production for the fiscal year from around 15 million units to 11 million. The reasons cited for this cut appear to involve production problems with its custom chips designed for the console. This report comes only hours after a different report stated that Sony is employing the use air freights to ship large quantities of PS5’s overseas to meet demand....

Midnight Blue resembles the color of a clear evening sky during a late night gaming session that goes well into the dead of night. Steel Black, on the other hand, is a color that might resemble some of the larger than life weapons a player can wield in Monster Hunter World or the guns in shooters like Call of Duty: WW2. It is also similar to the color scheme of the controller that was included with the Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 bundle....

The first and perhaps most impressive detail that Sony revealed in its most recent investors meeting is that the PSVR2 will launch with over 20 “major” first and third party titles. Some PSVR2 games have already been revealed, such as Horizon: Call of the Mountain, a spin-off game set in the Horizon Zero Dawn universe. To have over 20 titles available at launch will hopefully give fans an incentive to purchase the PSVR2, especially if some old VR hits can get an upgrade to the new platform....

The RX1-R is an adaption of the RX1. It is very small and light and like Nikon with the D800 E has been attempting recently, doesn’t support anti-aliasing. Thanks to that massive 35mm sensor in front, it can take very highly detailed photographs – this makes its great for nature and landscape photographers rather than portrait and architecture photographers. A major short coming of having such a massive sensor is that the power drains away really quickly and Sony doesn’t provide extra batteries with the RX1-R....

God of War Ragnarok is the sequel to 2018’s God of War, taking place three years after the first game’s conclusion and following Kratos and his demigod son Atreus as they try to prevent Ragnarok, the end of the world in Norse mythology. Sony Santa Monica Studio has stated that the game will serve as a conclusion to the Norse era of Kratos’ saga but has otherwise kept a tight lid on story details....

The fabled “PlayStation Phone” has been a story of myth and wonder that transitioned to reality when Engadget unofficially got their hands on one of the devices in the form of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Shortly thereafter, the commercial for the device that was set to premiere during the Super Bowl was leaked online before the kickoff was even decided. Despite the convincing hands-on of the device and the commercial which only teased an Android and PlayStation partnership, there still has not been an official announcement of Sony revealing the phone itself....

So, it doesn’t exactly come as a surprise to find out that Sony may have their own controller-free gaming device, ala Project Natal, in the oven; though, we’re willing to admit we might be getting a bit ahead of ourselves. At the recent Vision 2009 tradeshow in Stuttgart, Germany, Sony demoed a hands-free device, similar to the screens Tom Cruise played with in Minority Report, that allowed the user to manipulate computer windows through hand and finger gestures without physically making contact with any surface....

That includes a huge 1in, 12Mp main sensor known as the Exmor RS – that’s the same as you’ll find in Sony’s RX100 VII point-and-shoot camera. It supports phase detection autofocus (AF), which means subjects should remain in focus even when quickly moving between them. You also get an advanced mobile imaging processor (BIONZ X) and dual aperture, with the ability to quickly switch between f/2.0 and f/4.0 according to the situation....

We have been keeping tabs on Sony Xperia headlines and what we are hearing is that Sony is busy preparing for February launch of Xperia Z in Germany. The hottest phone of the year has already popped up on O2’s website, one of the biggest smartphone carriers in Germany. The phone would be available on 4G LTE wireless network in black and white colors. We had heard that Sony Xperia Z would hit the markets worldwide in March; perhaps in February O2 will start taking the pre-orders of phone and deliver them in March....

In a Twitter post, Sachin Tendulkar’s shared an ICC tweet which talked about the achievements of the pair in one-day international cricket.
