Given just how invested Sony is in the gaming industry at large, it’s not particularly strange or surprising to see that it would attempt to come up with an exciting new way of matching players of a similar skill level together, and the newly proposed Cross Skill Competition patent has a few interesting ideas as to how this might work. Whether it pans out is a wholly different matter, naturally....

Users have been waiting to get their hands on the Sony PlayStation 5. The console is facing a global shortage due to shortage of raw material. According to the IGN India report, Sony conducted an internal meeting last month. In this meeting, the company discussed its plan for the upcoming quarter to add a batch of the older-generation PlayStation 4 in large quantities. It will also restock Sony PlayStation 5 by the end of this month....

Now, as expected, Sony has unveiled the official PS4 release date at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. While Microsoft has yet to make their Xbox One launch date official (the system will release sometime in November), Sony gamers now know that the next generation in PlayStation gaming kicks off November 15th in North America. During the Sony Gamescom press conference, Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House dropped the PS4 launch details - asserting that the system will make its debut on November 15, 2013 in North America, followed by a November 29, 2013 release in European and Latin American markets....

You may have noticed however, that despite several system updates that have been issued in the last year and a half, the suspend/resume feature has yet to make an appearance. It’s actually not that bad if, as we suspect, it has anything at all to do with the Playstation Move motion controller. It’s brief, it’s tight, it’s to the point, and it encapsulates everything Sony wants to convey about the Move in four words, including the actual word “move”....

Skyrim is not getting a playable demo and it doesn’t matter, because it doesn’t need one.
