South Park: The Pandemic Special will air on Comedy Central on Wednesday, September 30 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT, and will be an hour-long episode – the first ever hour-long special the show has ever done. The official synopsis for the special reads: “Randy comes to terms with his role in the COVID-19 outbreak as the on-going pandemic presents continued challenges to the citizens of South Park. The kids happily head back to school but nothing resembles the normal that they once knew; not their teachers, not their homeroom, not even Eric Cartman.”

The trailer reveals that the more changes the coronavirus brings to South Park, the more things stay the same. Cartman still does not want to go to school, though now it is because of fears of catching the virus. Randy Marsh, meanwhile, is trying to make a buck during this time with his own “Pandemic special.”

In order to watch South Park online as it airs, viewers can watch the live stream on the Comedy Central website. However, this stream is only available to cable subscribers who have the channel in their package. To access “The Pandemic Special” live stream, users have to log in with their TV provider’s log-in details.

A number of other services also offer a live stream of Comedy Central, which is playing South Park all day in the lead up to “The Pandemic Special”. Among the services that offer a stream of the channel in the U.S. are Philo ($20 a month), Sling (from $30 a month), FuboTV (from $64.99 a month), AT&T Now (from $65 a month), AT&T WatchTV ($15 a month) and YouTube TV ($64.99 a month).

This means that there is a way to watch the episode online for free. All of the above services offer at least a seven day free trial for new subscribers.

After airing live, the South Park “Pandemic Special” will be available to watch on the Comedy Central website and app. HBO Max, however, is the streaming home of South Park, so it will eventually also air there. HBO Max also has all 23 previous seasons of South Park from 1997 to the present day. All those episodes are also available to purchase on Apple TV, Google Play, FandangoNow and Vudu.
